Quittin' Time

Quitin' Time, originally uploaded by Bryan Flynn.
Day 145 of 365

This is the view I see everyday as the weathered PSNS workers, without concern for their own safety and obviously without an understanding of basic physics, stride almost unconsciously into the road as drivers of cars speed toward the ferry they are most certainly late for.

I also made it a cool tilt-shift.

Day 141 of 365

Headed over to Seattle for an Art Festival at 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning. The ferry ride was that perfect morning for photos, but I didn't have my DSLR. Bummer.

I had to get creative with a small point and shoot.

The Cadillac

Day 140 of 365

Been thinking about the Cadillac Margarita for days. Nothing like a lot of alcohol to smooth out the rough spots in the week.

Sorry no parrots this time.

Crossroads

Crossroads
Day 139 of 365

On a trip to a friends house in Seabeck my GPS was showing a road coming up named "Bryan". I knew I needed to stop and take my picture for the day there.

To my surprise It was the crossroads of "Gross" and "Bryan", WTF.

I'm not sure how to feel about this.

Buddha's Butt

Buddha's Butt, originally uploaded by Bryan Flynn.

Day 133 of 365

Leaving Oregon today was a sad event. Thankfully I remembered to get a picture, or maybe a few, of the Buddah out front of McMenamins Edgefield.

I couldn't just settle on one photo and I wanted to put the Butt into some context.

Beads On A Clover

Beads On A Clover, originally uploaded by Bryan Flynn.

Day 132 of 365

On a nice early morning hike to the top of Multnomah Falls in Oregon we came upon an amazing patch of huge clovers. Only a few had morning dew on them, but then I saw this one. Perfectly posing with four dew drops located at the ends of the leaves and one in the center.

As an Irishman, I consider myself lucky just to have seen this, let alone get a photo.

Vine Wall Window

Day 131 of 365

There are many great things to see on the grounds of McMenamins Edgefield in Oregon. The standout for this day was this window peering through a wall of lush vines.

What you can't see in this photo is the amazing reading garden at the base of the wall. Brilliantly beautiful.

Green Spiral

Green Spiral, originally uploaded by Bryan Flynn.

Day 125 of 365

I have always wanted to capture one of natures spirals, known as a golden spiral or logarithmic spiral. Finding them is a problem for me, I never seem to be able to remember to look or just fail to see.

I saw one today and captured it. Maybe it will be easier from here on.

Dragonfly At Sundown

Dragonfly At Sundown, originally uploaded by Bryan Flynn.

Day 124 of 365

In a podcast I was listening to this morning, the host was discussing how light affects all objects differently and tasked listeners with looking for the light in obscure places. This evening I remembered that as the sun set into the stained glass of this little garden ornament.

It's fun to look at the world in new ways.
