Hiking along the trails in the Olympic National Forest can produce the most amazing sites. Here the Old Man's Beard grows in abundance on a lone maple.

Today I watched my daughter Aurora concentrate very hard with her chalk to fill up every square inch the 24" patio paver with bright colors.

As much as I hate them I know they have a greater purpose. Its nice to see a few in the yard to take care of the abundance of flying insects. I'll leave this one alone.

Had a unique view to watch the USS John C. Stennis sail passed the Port of Bremerton on it way out for a 7 month deployment.

Pringles Brewing Company has a great new Summer Ale on tap. This perfectly complimented Chef Flynn's Asian Turkey Burger very well and finished off with a wonderful fresh strawberry frozen yogurt desert.

During a pleasant summer rain we noticed how the rain drops pooled on the perfectly waxed paint of a car. It's amazing that this is a black paint job.

This little finch built a nest in a flower basket under the gazebo in my parents back yard. She was working pretty hard to fill the bellies of the babies in the nest.

We had a visit from Eli today. He showed us everything he can do. Pee, poop, smile, cry, sleep and just simply look cute. I think we now know everything there is to know about him thus far.

All the little spider hatchlings are busy building tiny webs around the flower pots. In this mornings light the dew drops glistened to reveal the patterns.
